The blood test
Your Rapid Results journey begins with an in-depth blood test. This goes much further than the standard one that GPs offer, and checks the broadest spectrum of biomarkers, including:

Blood doesn’t lie so this is why it’s step number one. Your local blood withdrawal clinic can take the required sample which you will send off to the lab at my testing partner, Functional DX, for analysis. The lab then sends me a report showing where you sit on the range for each biomarker profile. This shows which body systems are working either above, below or inside the optimal range, so we know where to focus first. This can also identify potential markers for a disease before it has had time to develop into an illness with symptoms. My job is then to interpret the data from the lab report and use this information to direct our first consultation and ultimately design your therapy programme.
The stool test
Concurrently, you will also carry out a stool test in advance of our first meeting. This is also crucial because the majority of ailments and chronic conditions stem from the gut.
We have over 5 million interactions with food in a lifetime, so it certainly matters what nutrients your cells, tissues and organs rely on for decades. This test includes a DNA (PCR) technology so it can detect something even when it can’t physically be cultured or seen under the microscope (for example parasites which exist within a host, but not outside in the stool).
The stool sample is collected at home and sent off to the lab, sealed in the discreet packaging provided.
The results for both tests take two weeks to come back. In advance of the results coming back, I will also ask you to complete a health questionnaire, a one-week food diary plus a T&C and Consent form.
Once I have your results on week three, we have the initial consultation via video conference or face-to-face if preferred for local clients. I will then send you your tailored nutritional therapy programme, usually within three working days of the first consultation.
From then we have a scheduled follow-up four weeks later to review your progress and make any adjustments to your programme as necessary. A final two 30-minute reviews will be scheduled at six weeks and again at eight weeks to ensure you are confidently on the right path.
By this point, clients who have been adhering to the programme will already have started to notice a difference and feel better. If any further follow-ups are desired at the end of the programme, these can be easily purchased at the pay-as-you go rate.
